The Cabildo of Lanzarote offers its condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England. The monarch died on September 8 at her Balmoral residence at the age of 96, after more than seven decades at the head of the British crown.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, conveyed her "condolences to the royal family, relatives and the entire British people for the loss of one of the most outstanding women in its history".
"We show our affection and support to the large British community residing in Lanzarote for this loss," added Corujo.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away in the company of all the members of her family and her death marks the ascent to the throne of her son, Prince Charles.
